CAPSTONE PROJECT
In my Capstone Project Module, my group and I chose to educate parents with children aged 3 to 6 year old about the benefits of creative arts, and some easy to do creative arts activities with everyday materials.
We decided to organize a Creative Arts Festival, in collaboration with Star Learners to do in-depth teaching of "2D Arts & Arts and Crafts", "3D Arts & Architecture", "Dance & Music", "Literature & Drama" and "Photography", along with an easy to do activity for each art form.
On top of that, we made a PDF list of all art related events and activities that are happening in Singapore for parents to bring their children to. Easy to do art related activities have also been included.
PROJECT ID: CONNECTING THE DOTS
Part of the Project ID module, our classes were reshuffled to ensure that we will be working together with students from other schools, such as the School of Film and Media Studies and the School of Engineering.
My group and I chose to work on the topic of "How can we take better care of the vulnerable groups in Singapore? (Elderly)", more specifically, elderly who are lonely and isolated. To meet the objective of our project, we came up with the idea of "ConneXion", a device which elderly can use to stay connected, as well as to ensure the safety of the elderly.
My role in the group is to bring my psychology knowledge, and my creativity and design skills to help people understand the device better, and to design the final look of the device and the poster. Since the project is still ongoing, nothing is finalized yet. However, posters and a draft of how the device will look like have been done.
